During the first five years of its creation and installation when the garden will not yet be open to the general public we wish to organize multi-disciplinary international meetings: plant research, horticultural training, ethno-botany, conservation and environmental education will be the featured subjects to train local staff as well as promote cooperation with other institutions.

Research grants for international botanists will be available for research in situ and
ex situ as well grants to create the possibility for Lao botanists to study abroad.
